La Porte County Hazardous Materials Emergency Operation Plan 2006

La Porte County Haz-Mat is responsible for all types of chemical spills and related functions within La Porte County.

If you have a chemical spill call 9-1-1 to report it with as many details as possible.

Each County Haz-Mat is charged with developing an emergency response plan to deal with accidental chemical releases from Title III facilities in its county and with making available to the general public chemical information submitted by those facilities. The LEPCs are funded through EPCRA under Indiana Code (IC) 6-10.
