The Plan Commission provides the follows services to the county:

• Subdivision Approval
• Subdivision Regulations
• Zone changes
• Sale of Master Plan Books

Board of Zoning Appeals:

• File zoning variances/special exceptions
• Zoning Ordinance violations in the unincorporated areas of LaPorte County.

Building Department:

• Issue building permits and conduct inspections.
• Issue "certificate of occupancy"
• Registration of Contractors (insured and bonded)
• Handle contractor and home owners' complaints
  (unincorporated areas only).
