Treasurer: Deadlines and Exceptions

SPRING INSTALLMENT FALL INSTALLMENT

Deadlines for paying real estate taxes by tape: June 2nd and November 13th.

Billing tape requests due in our office: March 1st and September 1st.

Payments for tapes due in our office: May 1st and November 1st.

Deadline Exceptions

The fee for duplicate tax bills is $1.50 per bill, payable in advance. From May 1st through June 2nd and again November 1st through November 13th, no more than four (4) billing requests per phone call will be given. Also between those dates, fax requests for tax amounts will not be handled.

Staffiing demands do not allow that service during these times. During all other times, faxes and/or mailed requests for billing amounts must include parcel ID numbers. Make all checks payable to LaPorte County Treasurer and parcel ID numbers should be written on the memo line of your check.
